Popcorn works globally, but occasional calling issues can happen depending on your settings, network, or location. Let’s go through a few quick checks 👇
🔧 Quick checks to fix calling issues
1. Make sure Popcorn is your active line for calls.
Go to: Settings > Cellular > Default Voice Line > Select your Popcorn eSIM
2. Enable Wi-Fi Calling. This helps improve call reliability, especially indoors or in low coverage areas.
Go to: Settings > Cellular > [Popcorn eSIM] > Wi-Fi Calling > Toggle ON
3. Check Voice & Data settings
Go to: Settings > Cellular > [Popcorn eSIM] > Voice & Data > Set to 5G Auto (or LTE if needed)
4. Use the correct dialing format. Make sure numbers are dialed in international format:
🇺🇸 US numbers → +1 or 001
🌍 International → +XX or 00XX (e.g. +44 for the UK)
5. Switch networks manually
Sometimes the local carrier you’re connected to may have issues with calling.
Go to: Settings > Cellular > [Popcorn eSIM] > Network Selection > Turn Automatic OFF and try another available network
6. Restart your phone.
A quick restart can reset your connection and resolve temporary issues.
⚡ Still having issues?
Enable Call Forwarding. This routes calls through the app and can bypass network-level issues or blocking, especially when abroad.
Go to: Popcorn app > Settings > Call Forwarding > Make sure it’s enabled!
Most calling issues are quick to fix with the steps above, especially Wi-Fi Calling and correct line selection.
